Irish Showcase at South by Southwest 2025

Ten Irish artists will be supported to perform at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas this week, as part of the Music From Ireland Official Showcase and Full Irish Breakfast at SXSW. The showcases are delivered by First Music Contact as part of its annual programme of activity, funded by Culture Ireland.

South by Southwest is an annual festival and conference held in Austin, Texas, celebrating the intersection of music, film, tech, and media. Established in 1987, it is one of the biggest music showcases globally, featuring thousands of artists from a range of genres, both emerging and established.

SXSW provides a major platform for discovery and networking, drawing media attention and offering career-defining exposure to up-and-coming talent.

This year’s Music From Ireland showcase artists are:

  • Ailbhe Reddy
  • Red Stamp
  • Shobsy
  • Soda Blonde
  • Really Good Time
  • M(h)aol
  • Annie-Dog
  • Gurriers
  • Cardinals

The official showcase will take place on Thursday 13 March in the Velveeta Room (521 E 6th Street), with the Full Irish Breakfast at SXSW taking place the following day in The Dead Rabbit (204 E 6th Street).
