Ireland at Folk Alliance International 2025

Six Irish artists will be performing as Official Showcase Artists at Folk Alliance International this week, which takes place in Montréal, Quebec from 19 – 23 February 2025.

The artists, who are supported by Culture Ireland, will perform for an audience of music industry professionals from across Canada, the USA and beyond.

The Folk Alliance International Conference is the world’s largest gathering of the folk music industry and community, crossing a diverse array of genres including Appalachian, Americana, Blues, Bluegrass, Celtic, Cajun, Global Roots, Hip-Hop, Old-Time, Singer-Songwriter, Spoken Word, Traditional, Zydeco, and various fusions.

Culture Ireland has been leading a delegation of Irish artists to Folk Alliance International since 2015. This year marks the tenth anniversary of Culture Ireland’s Official Showcase at Folk Alliance International.

The event attracts hundreds of programmers, agents, Festival Directors and radio stations, and has a long track record of creating opportunities for Irish artists.

The six Official Showcase artists selected by Folk Alliance International are:

  • Niamh Bury
  • Padraig Jack Music
  • Conor Mallon
  • David Howley
  • Bernadette Morris
  • Tulua

Each artist will perform at the Official Showcase on the Culture Ireland stage on 21 February 2025, as well as a series of private showcases across the conference schedule.
