Six Irish Artists will travel to Kansas City, Missouri shortly to participate as Official Showcase Artists at Folk Alliance International which takes place from 21 – 25 February 2024.

The artists, who are supported by Culture Ireland, will perform for an audience of music industry professionals from across the USA, Canada and beyond.

The Folk Alliance International Conference is the world’s largest gathering of the folk music industry and community (crossing a diverse array of genres including Appalachian, Americana, Blues, Bluegrass, Celtic, Cajun, Global Roots, Hip-Hop, Old-Time, Singer-Songwriter, Spoken Word, Traditional, Zydeco, and various fusions).

Culture Ireland has been leading a delegation of Irish artists to Folk Alliance since 2015. The event attracts hundreds of programmers, agents, Festival Directors and radio stations, and has a long track record of creating opportunities for Irish artists.

The six Official Showcase artists who were selected by Folk Alliance International are:

Billow Wood
Gráinne Hunt
Krea
Laytha
Patrick Stefan
Strange Boy

Each will participate with a Showcase performance on the Culture Ireland stage as well as a series of private showcases across the conference schedule.
